There are more than 100 cannabinoids in the hemp space, and more are discovered with more research.

WHAT ARE CBD GUMMIES?

CBD gummies are chewable sweets with CBD infusion. Gummies are not new in the market since they have long been used in the supplement world.

They come in different shapes and flavors and are a great way to take CBD if you fancy varieties.  CBD gummies also have different strengths, offering something for novices and veteran CBD users.

If you are new to the cannabis world, it is worth noting that most products feature at least one of the three CBD formulations, and the vegan gummies are no exception. Are you ready to enjoy vegan CBD gummies? This article will help you know how to find the best.

WHAT MAKES CBD GUMMIES VEGAN?

CBD products, mostly edibles, and ingestibles, can be vegan or non-vegan. From a layman’s standpoint, vegan CBD gummies have no animal products. Of course, CBD is a plant-based compound coming from hemp or other cannabis plants. Yet, there is more to the gummies than the plant-based CBD.

In most cases, gelatin is used in making CBD gummies to ensure consistency and keep the various ingredients together. Gelatin is an animal product, mostly from animal ligaments, tendons, hooves, skin, and bones. Vegan gummies have no ligaments and are also free of other animal derivatives.

QUALITIES OF VEGAN CBD GUMMIES

As stated in the above paragraph, vegan CBD gummies do not feature gelatin as the primary ingredient for ensuring consistency. Rather, they have pectin as then binding compound.

Pectin is a plant derivative and alternative to the popular gelatin.  Besides, vegan CBD gummies have at least one of the following properties;

WHAT IS CBD?

Since we would not have vegan CBD gummies without CBD, it is good to know what it is before indulging much in CBD gummies. According to Forbes Health (2022) report, more than 60% of US adults are into CBD, all the more why you need to understand it. Massi et al. (2006) and Bauer et al. (2020) defined CBD as a non-psychoactive chemical compound from hemp or other cannabis plants. Such compounds are collectively called cannabinoids.

There are more than 100 cannabinoids in the hemp space, and more are discovered with more research. Yet, CBD remains at the top of the game since it is non-psychoactive. Another reason why people relate to CBD so much is that, according to Watt & Karl (2017), CBD is therapeutic. People want to enjoy CBD therapy, explaining why its products are high in demand.

WHY DO PEOPLE LOVE VEGAN CBD GUMMIES?

WHY DO PEOPLE LOVE VEGAN CBD GUMMIES?

Why are vegan CBD gummies relatable to many? There is only one explanation for this; more studies are emphasizing the need to avoid plant products and ingredients in what goes to the stomach.

In fact, a lot of research is now geared toward finding great alternatives to animal products in plant-based sources. Yet, there is more to vegan CBD gummies than such emphases. For instance, they are great at delivering the cannabinoid without putting too much sugar.

Most vegan CBD gummies feature wonderful all-natural fruity flavors that do not require sugar to be sweet. In addition, vegan CBD gummies from many brands do not have tee nut, peanut butter, and other ingredients that trigger allergic reactions in sensitive people. If you frequently suffer allergic reactions but want to enjoy CBD, the vegan CBD gummies would be great.

VEGAN CBD GUMMY FORMULATIONS

CBD is an umbrella term coming in multiple options. For instance, if you want to enjoy flavored vegan CBD gummies, you have the following three formulations to take advantage of;

  1. Full-spectrum CBD; features CBD with terpenes, flavonoids, and many other cannabinoids in the hemp plants. According to VanDolah et al. (2019), the multiple compounds have a synergistic effect called the full entourage effect.
  2. Isolate-based CBD; is the exact opposite of the full-spectrum CBD. It features 99% pure CBD without terpenes, flavonoids, or additional compounds. Many CBD novices enjoy CBD products in this formulation since it lacks the characteristic earthy taste of hemp extracts.
  3. Broad-spectrum CBD; this is in between the full-spectrum and isolate-based CBD products. It has terpenes, flavonoids, and all other cannabinoids but no THC. If you want a full entourage effect of many compounds but not the THC interaction with the body, you would opt for broad-spectrum CBD vegan gummies.

BENEFITS OF VEGAN CBD GUMMIES

Are you ready to buy vegan CBD gummies? You need to know their benefits before spending your money on them. CBD studies are limited, and even though there are many research papers on the cannabinoid, they do not cover a wide scope.

In fact, most studies on CBD have focused on CBD oils and tinctures since they are the primary way to deliver the cannabinoid. Still, tapping into these studies helps you what you can gain from CBD in general. Here are the benefits you can reap from chewing vegan CBD gummies;

  • Anxiety Management

  • According to Watt & Karl (2017), CBD is therapeutic. Many CBD proponents believe in this therapy and take vegan CBD gummies for different challenges, including managing anxiety. Can CBD gummies treat your anxiety? According to García-Gutiérrez et al. (2020), CBD can fight anxiety, stress, and anxiety. Besides, Shannon et al. (2019) reported that through CBD- 5- HITA receptor interaction, the cannabinoid helps with anxiety. Still, more studies are needed to support these claims.

    CBD Vegan Can Help you to get a good Sleep and Helps the TA receptors to improve pain and anxiety.
  • Better Sleep

  • One reason many US adults take vegan CBD gummies is to manage sleep. According to a CDC report on Sleep and Sleep Disorders, more than a third of adults do not get enough sleep. Some suffer from sleep disorders, while others cannot hold sleep for long.

    Can you take vegan CBD gummies to manage sleep issues? According to Murillo-Rodriguez et al. (2014), CBD can improve one’s sleep, although it is not certain how. Besides, Shannon et al. (2019) also reported that taking CBD may help improve sleep since the cannabinoid interacts with the 5- HI- TA receptors to improve pain and anxiety, affecting sleep.

  • Managing Depression

  • Did you know that quite a number of CBD fans take vegan CBD gummies to manage depression? Besides, those who do not take gummies and other edibles opt for CBD capsules and oils for the same.

    Does this mean that CBD can treat depression? There is currently not enough evidence to prove this. However, according to de Mello Schier et al. (2014), CBD has powerful anxiolytic and antidepressant properties. Besides, a study by Silote et al. (2019) reported that CBD is a better antidepressant.

  • Managing Pain

Studies on the CBD and pain are quite promising and see the light in the cannabinoid helping with pain. For instance, Vučković et al. (2018) reviewed CBD studies from 1975 through 2018 (March) and reported that the cannabinoid could help with pain, both chronic and acute.

    Later, Shannon et al. (2019) mentioned that pain is one of the things CBD could improve. Yet, we look forward to more studies with enough scientific evidence to prove that taking vegan CBD gummies could help with.

CONS OF VEGAN CBD GUMMIES

With vegan CBD gummies having many praises, it almost seems as though they have no flaws. However, this is not always the case, and the earlier you know about the challenges of munching gummies, the better prepared you are to handle them.

The biggest challenge with vegan CBD gummies that also affects other edibles is delayed delivery.

Gummies have to do through digestion, and the longer they take on the track, the more the effects are delayed. Besides, digestion means that edibles lose some potency, and gummies are no exception.

Added to the fact that no single CBD delivery method has 100% bioavailability, the cells do not benefit from all the CBD in the gummies. As if this is not enough, people with stomach sensitivity may react to the vegan CBD gummies, even when they have no animal products. Still, the lack of scientific studies and the lack of regulation of the hemp space affect vegan CBD gummies, which are not entirely safe.

FINDING THE BEST VEGAN CBD GUMMIES

Are you looking for the best CBD vegan gummies? The quest can never be easy with the many CBD brands in the hemp space. Still, knowing what factors to pay attention to when buying CBD gummies helps you increase your chances of landing quality products. Our criterion looked at the following areas;

  1. Source of CBD; following the Farm Bill passing in 2018, we only focus on brands that use hemp to make CBD so that the resultant vegan CBD gummies are legal at federal levels.
  2. Origin of hemp; we also ensure that the hemp used in manufacturing CBD for the brands in this article is sourced from the US and abide by the latest US Hemp Authority requirements.
  3. CBD formulation; since CBD users have varying needs, most of the brands in this article feature at least two CBD formulations in the vegan gummies. This way, veteran and novice clients can find something that meets their needs.
  4. Potency; the vegan CBD gummies in this article feature multiple strengths, allowing users with different preferences to have something that meets their needs.
  5. 3rd party tests; the CBD industry is unregulated, and the only way to know how reputable a brand can be is by looking at its 3rd party test results. The brands in this article conduct 3rd party tests and up-load the CoA online for easy viewership.
  6. THC potency; according to the 2018 Farm Bill, hemp derivatives, including CBD, are only federally legal if they have less than 0.3% THC. Our gummies, including the full-spectrum options, have less than 0.3% THC to be up to the task with these regulations.
  7. Contaminant status; the CBD gummies shared in this article are not only vegan but also free of contaminants.

Frequently Asked Questions about Vegan CBD Gummies

Whether you are new to the CBD regime or you have been taking vegan CBD gummies for some time, there is much you need to understand about the vegan CBD gummies. Likewise, people have many questions about the same, and this section tries to answer them in the best way possible. Here are the vegan CBD gummies’ major FAQs;

Many people are not into CBD products because of misinformation. Some even think that CBD gummies can make a person high. According to Schlienz et al. (2018), THC is the psychoactive compound in cannabis plants and the chemical behind the high effect of smoking weed. Yet, Massi et al. (2006) clearly state that CBD is non-psychoactive, meaning it does not make you high. As long as you focus on THC-free gummies or options with minimum THC, you will not get high from the gummies.

There are three CBD formulations; full-spectrum, isolate-based, and broad-spectrum options. According to VanDolah et al. (2019), the multiple hemp compounds, as in full-spectrum CBD, gives the cannabinoid a full entourage effect. Yet, this does not mean that the two other formulations are inferior. In fact, you can still enjoy the synergistic effect in broad-spectrum CBD gummies, only that they have no THC.

CBD formulation is critical when taking CBD products, particularly the ingestible options. For instance, the full-spectrum vegan CBD gummies might be your favorite pick if you want a full entourage effect.

However, if you anticipate drug tests soon, you need THC-free options like isolate-based or broad-spectrum CBD gummies. Yet, if you are new to CBD or cannot take products with terpenes and flavonoids for some reason, you can go for isolate CBD gummies.

Many people ask whether CBD gummies and other edibles can show up in drug tests. First, you need to understand how drug tests work. They are after THC and its metabolites. Since CBD is not THC, technically, it will not show up in drug tests. Yet, there is more to this that you need to understand before going for gummies.

For instance, if you choose full-spectrum gummies, they will certainly show up in tests since they have THC as a major component. Meanwhile, the THC-free options should not make you fail drug tests.

Yet, this is not enough. People have reported cases where they tested positive for drug tests from taking THC-free edibles. The lack of CBD industry regulation explains this; some companies are not true to their words, and product mislabeling is a challenge.

One thing you cannot underestimate when buying CBD products is how to administer them. How best does one take CBD gummies? Like any edibles in the hemp space, vegan gummies are meant for ingestion. All one has to do is read instructions on administering the gummies and go ahead to enjoy the taste.

Most companies, including those shared in this article, include dosage information on the product labels, making it easy for CBD users to know how many gummies to take. Yet, it is never different with the edibles; you munch them as the way to deliver CBD to the body. You cannot add vegan CBD gummies to foods or drunks like you do CBD oils and tinctures.

Are you ready to go shopping for your favorite CBD gummies? You need to understand the concept of potency. Potency is the strength of a gummy relative to how much CBD it has.

CBD strength is calculated by finding the quotient between total CBD concentration and the number of gummies in the pack. For instance, if you bought a pack with 20 gummies, with a total of 500 mg in the jar, each gummy is 25 mg CBD potent.

There are three potencies in the hemp space. It can be low, medium, or high. For instance, 5 mg CBD gummies are low-potency. Meanwhile, 20 mg and 50 mg CBD gummies are medium- and high-potency, respectively. In choosing your gummies, you need to understand the aspect of potency and choose what matches your needs.

For instance, if you are new to CBD, you need to stick to the low potency option. The 5 mg or 10 mg gummies might be great for you. This improves with time as the cells metabolize CBD even faster, and before you know it, it might be good to take high-potency options like 30 mg CBD gummies.

Yes, how many vegan CBD gummies should one take? It depends on many factors, including the potency of the gummies. If you are taking potent gummies, one might be enough for you to feel the desired effects. However, if your gummies are 4 or 6 mg potent, you might take 2, 3, or more without feeling guilty.

CBD experience also matters; newcomers may not take as many gummies as veteran CBD users. Besides, your CBD metabolism is also key. The faster your cells process the cannabinoid, the more you can comfortably take without feeling bloated.

Will you feel sleepy from vegan CBD gummies? Bauer et al. (2020) stated that CBD is non-psychoactive. Thus, it does not have THC-like effects, including sleepiness. However, some brands add melatonin and other compounds claimed to boost sleep, and people take such vegan gummies to find better sleep.

Besides, studies like Shannon et al. (2019) find CBD gummies great for sleep. Yet, this does not mean you will feel sleepy from taking vegan CBD gummies.

CBD is a plant-based compound coming from hemp and other cannabis plants. Yet, this does not mean you can buy any gummy and assume it is vegan. The ingredients added to gummies make them vegan or non-vegan.

For instance, if the gummies have animal products like honey, milk, butter, and eggs, it is non-vegan. Still, the best way to know if a brand’s gummy is truly vegan is to research the company and read the ingredient list of the gummies.

Are you looking out to try vegan CBD gummies? You need how long you expect the effects to surface. There are no one-time-fits options for the period the gummies take to work. Rather, many factors come to play, including your CBD metabolism. If you can process CBD fast, the gummies will kick in fast, and the reverse is true.

The potency of the gummies and how many you take also determine how long you need to wait for the effects to surface. The greater the potency and the more the gummies, the faster the effects surface. Still, this does not mean you need to overdose on the gummies or opt for high-potency gummies when you are new to CBD and need to take things slow.

As mentioned at the outset, CBD gummies are like any delivery method. Taking them has challenges and strengths you need to know and contend with. According to Bass & Linz (2020), too many gummies can lead to toxicity. It is also worth noting that gummies have preservatives and sweeteners, which might not go well with you if you have a sensitive stomach.
